Excerpts from Board of Supervisors meetings, 1865 to 1936, gathered by the 1935-1936 W.P.A. project workers, concerning general business such as incorporation of Arivaca, Calabasas, Nogales, and Tucson; bond issues for railroads, roads and community projects; history of the County Courthouse (1866-1930); and school funding, organization of school districts (1872-1935), petitions for new schools, and other education issues. School records include census marshal reports by district giving children, ages, race, and parents names (dates vary). Correspondence of various school superintendents such as Thomas Cordis (1890) and John S. Woods (1891-1895) is also present.
